A personal favouurite career highlight working on BBC Earth with Chris Packham! We took home an Emmy nomination for the VFX on this series, and looking back at the shot list, it’s easy to see why. Had my hands in almost every type of simulation pipeline on this one: Volcanoes, flowing lava, & massive atmospheric plumes Heavy pyro explosions & smoke Procedural forest destruction & falling trees Micro-scale fluid sims, bubbles, water droplets, & rolling fog

Incredibly proud to look back at the massive variety of FX work I got to tackle for this BBC Earth series with Chris Packham, which ended up earning us an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Visual Effects! Here's a select few shots (the full reel is ~10 mins long)
This project was such a playground for an FX artist. I had the chance to build pipelines for almost every element imaginable: large-scale volcanic eruptions and flowing lava, intense pyroclastic plumes, massive explosions, procedural falling trees, and complex fluid dynamics ranging from churning underwater bubbles to macro water droplets and rolling fog.
Huge congratulations to the entire team on the nomination, and a massive thank you to everyone who made this pipeline such a joy to work on!
